When will the next session of
classes start?
Our next session of classes will run 9 weeks and last
approximately one hour.
For availability of Puppy and Beginners class openings contact Bill Ballard.
Novice, Beginning and Advanced
Open, Utility and Activity Classes will start at it regularly scheduled day and
time on either of the dates below.

* Puppy and Beginner's Orientation
will be held Thursday, 4/1/10, at 7:15 PM. Please bring a
chair, but do not bring your dog to the orientation. After the
orientation you will get to meet with your class instructor and receive a
handbook for that particular class. After this
orientation class your class will continue at it regularly scheduled time which
will be indicated by your instructor(s). |

The
requirements for membership in the Oklahoma City Obedience Training Club are as
follows:

1)
Training
Requirement: You
must have successfully trained and graduated a dog in the regular training
classes of the Club, or successfully completed requirement for at least a CD
title and attended two training sessions.

2)
Meeting
Requirement: A total
of three meetings or combination of meetings and events are required
A) Attendance at on
regular OCOTC meeting is required. Eligible
meetings are any membership meetings except those closed to non-members.
These include the July picnic and the Christmas party.
B)
Participation at 2 events may equal one meeting.
Events that qualify are:
1). Ring
Stewarding 3-4 hours at OCOTC sponsored events.
2). Set-up and break down of OCOTC Trials or sponsored match.
3). Booth sitting for an entire event, i.e. Paws on Parade or
OCOTC sponsored event.
4). Assisting in class instruction for and entire session.
A
work list would be distributed by the event chairperson to be signed by those
working. After the event the work list will be forwarded to the
membership chairperson.

3)
When you have completed the above Training and Meeting Requirements: Fill
out and submit an application for membership through the Membership Chairperson
and attach the appropriate amount for membership (in check or cash) to the
application.
Applicants
must be sponsored by two club members in good standing, one of whom must have
been the applicant’s instructor and if your enthusiasm and pleasure in your new
hobby is as great as ours, you will be warmly welcomed into our ranks. |

To receive reduced training fees, you must work two club sponsored
activities or attend one meeting. These requirements must be met in
the prior year. |
